Men are seen for counselling in all of our programs with the exception of
specialized services for abused women. Some of the issues relevant to men
include communicating effectively, relationship challenges, job-related concerns,
anxiety and depression, balancing work and family, parenting after divorce, family of
origin issues, substance abuse and grief and loss issues.
Men as well as women experience physical, emotional and sexual abuse in childhood.
As adults they may experience partner abuse in relationships. Individual counselling
is available to address these issues.
We also offer a group for men who are interested in improving their relationships or
developing new healthy relationships. This group is entitled
"Men in Healthy Relationships: Getting it Right".
For those men interested in an anger management course, we offer a co-ed workshop to
help participants learn to recognize anger triggers and develop strategies to manage
and express anger effectively.
