Employee Assistance Program
An employee assistance program (EAP) offers constructive solutions for managing employees with problems. Professional counselors work confidentially with employees and their families to support them in coping with a wide variety of life's challenges. Halton Family Services custom designs each EAP to meet the needs of employers and employees.

Consulting Services
We provide individual, couple and family counselling; services for abused women and children; and credit/debt counselling. Although these services are usually provided in our offices, we regularly go on-site for:
- EAP Orientation
- Supervisor Training
- Conflict Resolution/Mediation
- Management Consultation
- Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
- Trauma Intervention
Critical Incident Stress Management, Trauma Intervention
We provide a variety of services to employers/employees when the encounter traumatic incidents in the work place. These incidents may include acts of violence, bank robberies, death of an employee and major restructuring.
Wellness Workshops
We design and facilitate wellness workshops that address the specific needs of employers/employees. Workshop titles include:
- Managing Change
- Stress Management
- Balancing Work and Home
- Money Management
Local, National and International Services
We provide EAP services from our four offices in Halton Region: Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills. As part of a national network of Family Service agencies, we can assist employees in companies with branches throughout Ontario, or coast to coast in Canada. We can also arrange for international service.
All counselors in our Family Services network adhere to rigorous Q.A. standards which assure the delivery of confidential, accessible, professional service.
